UPCYCLE 2GIVE IT A SECOND CHANCE'
About the project
In today's world, we consume everything too fast and produce waste more than ever. According to the United Nations, we dump 2.12 billion tons of waste every year which causes pollution and irreversible harm to our nature in the long term. Of course, it is impossible to create a-zero-waste-world but our project is about reducing the amount of waste in the landfill sites and creating something more valuable with the aim of using for educational purposes or personal belongings by "upcycling". The students take an object which is considered as a waste and turn it into a new, more valuable object by using their creativity and discovering their artistic intelligences. So, the waste materials are given a second chance of usage and used for different purposes. They will contribute to a sustainable waste management.
